Chakras 🧘‍♀️What are they and how can we care for them with Chakra Care Crystal Pendants?

CHAKRA CARE

For over a year now, it has been our most popular collection: Chakra Care.

A collection of 7 raw crystal pendants, dedicated to the physical body’s seven chakras. Using ethically sourced raw crystals, we have Imagine a collection of necklaces able to balance, heal and unblock your chakras for improved health and positive energy.

But what are chakras? And how can they be blocked, open or even impact how we feel?

The seven chakras of the physical body

The word Chakra originates from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "disk" and they represent certain energy centres in our body. The chakra system forms the basis of Vedic healing practices and techniques, as blockages within the energetic system of chakras are believed to be the cause of physical illness.

This belief of energy centres and their impact on our health, more importantly their blockages, is similar in acupuncture and other Eastern healing practices. In fact, Wester medicine is unique in not seeing the body as one energy system and not locating energy blockages in order to alleviate pain and suffering in body, mind and spirit.

It's not that farfetched to belief that everything in the body is in connection with one another, and it's not a surprise that practices like Reiki and Acupuncture are more and more finding their way in modern day life.

1. Root Chakra

The Root Chakra is the first primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located at the root, or base, of your tailbone.

Being the centre of stability, the Root Chakra is the centre that helps keeping everything in balance within you. When out of alignment, the body can experience physical vertigo and dizziness or it can lead to a general sense of nervousness. This can lead to an inability to make progress in your life, and you could feel stagnant in relationships.

A balanced Root Chakra allows you to feel free, supported, safe and seen. This chakra is about finding and balancing the male energies within you. To regain the strength of self-belief, personal empowerment and the faith that every battle can be overcome.

2. Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is the second primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located just below the navel.

The Sacral Chakra can sometimes be blocked by guilt and fear. This can stop you from being essentially YOU which can manifest itself in blocked creativity and a general feeling of not knowing what to do. Opening this chakra can boost creativity, manifested desire and confidence.

When this chakra is balanced you’ll often feel pleasure, a sense of oneself, and relationships, sensuality and (pro)creation come naturally. It is in the Sacral Chakra where your unconscious emotions reside.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is the third primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located just above the navel.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with fire and the power of transformation. When this chakra is balanced you’ll feel empowered, confident and capable.

It is the key to manifesting what you want and achieve the true energies created within the level of the lower Sacral Chakra. A balanced Solar Plexus Chakra helps awaken, and cultivate confidence and personal power within you.

4. Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra is the fourth primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located in the central spine near the heart.

Associated with balance, calmness, and serenity, the Heart Chakra is the centre where decisions are made beyond the realm of karma (fate, reflex, mind, necessity). Instead, this is where you are invited to decide and act based on one's higher self, not the unfulfilled emotions and desires of lower nature. This is the centre where you are encouraged to follow your heart.

The Heart Chakra is also the place where deep love and compassion, charity to others and psychic healing resides. When balanced, you are able to easily and openly love others as you love yourself. The ability to hold, help and heal the entire planet, and universe flows from a balanced Heart Chakra.

5. Throat Chakra

The Throat Chakra is the fifth primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located in the neck and throat.

The Throat Chakra stands for purity and the truth. Stress, fear and especially fear of speaking out, fear of speaking your truth can block this chakra. It is all about communication in the highest form, about what you communicate not only to others but also to yourself and to your mind.

This chakra is all about who you truly are and whether you feel free to be the true you in front of anyone. When balanced, the power of the Throat Chakra will make you magnetic to everyone and, moreover, help you manifest the life you always envisaged.

6. Third Eye Chakra

The Third Eye Chakra is the sixth primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located right in between the eyebrows.

It is said that the Third Eye Chakra helps connect us to our inner wisdom, as well as to the spiritual world. As the seat of intuition, the Third Eye Chakra helps us to really see within and beyond.

When our Third Eye Chakra is balanced, you will feel open and accepting to all that comes on your path. Able to see the world in full colour, with an intuitive and instinct to determine what resonates with you, your vision and mission. You’ll often feel like things just “happen” or come onto your path, but in reality you instinctively walk the path and attract the energies to you.

A blocked Third Eye Chakra does the opposite. Life feels like a struggle, and you’ll feel unclear, unfocused and unable to see and sense what’s happening around you.

Sometimes life requires you to take a leap of faith, and just trust that which you cannot see with the human eye.

Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra is the seventh primary chakra when looking from the root to the crown, and is located at the top of the head, also known as the crown. Considered to be the most subtle chakra, it it the chakra related to pure consciousness. In other words, this is where your physical body connects to the spiritual, the divine.

When the Crown Chakra is functioning well, you are consciously aware of your connection to the spirit, to everything and everyone around you. This can manifest in a deep connection to nature, the universe and creation. In general, such connection introduces a great sense of calm and acceptance in your life.

Amethyst is also known as the stone of transcendence, heightening the connection to the psychic realm. Due to its protective powers Amethyst is a much sought after type of quartz crystals and is considered the most powerful and protective stone.

Now, which chakra do you believe could do with a bit more TLC?
