Your own unique Design

Bespoke Commissions

There's one thing that I love more than designing and creating new jewellery, and that is designing and making it especially for YOU.

If you love the style of Arianne Delaney Jewellery, and are looking for something truly unique - either for yourself or for a special someone - this service is for you.

Our Bespoke Jewellery Design service allows you to create an entire new design, and work with your own materials. Perhaps you have a sentimental object (a shell, pebble, anything else) that you like to turn into a piece of jewellery, or you have some inherited jewellery you like to give a second lease of life to, we would be honoured to make this come true.

We are currently working hard on creating an alternative Engagement Ring line and are welcoming Bespoke Commissions from Autumn 2026.

FOUND OBJECTS

Turn gathering into jewellery to treasure…

Are you a gatherer? Always finding beautiful things, nature’s remnants, wherever you go?

Our intrinsic connection to nature makes us cherish these small but meaningful objects, those unique treasures that we find on our path. As if we were meant to find them. And we were.

If you’ve always wanted to do something with those beautiful remnants and artefacts so carefully combed from the sand, but now sitting in the back of a drawer, we can help!

Let us design and make a unique piece of jewellery! We can either feature the original remnant or we can cast a silver or gold version if your found object. We can customise any design, use birthstones adding a deeper spiritual meaning, and more.

FAQs - Bespoke Commissions

How does a Bespoke Commission work?

When you contact us with a Bespoke Commission request, you will receive a brief questionnaire. Knowing the answers to questions like budget, materials, specific occasion and/or deadline, and design style will help us identify immediately how we can best help.

After that we will arrange a brief 10-30 mins Consultation call (or zoom) to discuss the next steps to creating your bespoke piece of jewellery. We believe a personal approach and direct contact is the best way to ensure we create the exact piece of jewellery you have in mind. This part of the process can take place in person in our studio in Frome too, if you're local.

We agree on concept designs based on which we will sketch and create 2-3 design proposals. This process can take as little as 1 week.

Once you have approved a design proposal, we source the materials and the piece will be made to the agreed specification, within the agreed timeframe and delivered to you by insured shipping (or it can be collected in our Frome studio).

How long does a Bespoke Jewellery Commission take?

This totally depends on the design complexity of your commission, however on average the process takes 4-12 weeks end to end.

How much does Bespoke Jewellery Cost?

The cost of a Bespoke Commission will depend on the scope of work and the design.

We charge a non-refundable fee of £20 for the 30min Consultation during which we agree on the Concept Design. This £20 will be treated as an advance payment towards the final piece of jewellery.

As a general rule we do not tend to accept any Bespoke Commissions below £150.

Can I provide my own materials, like gold, silver or gemstones?

Yes, this is possible. We are happy to accept your own 925 Sterling Silver, or 9/14/18tct Gold, as long as it is hallmarked as such.

We can work with most gemstones too, however we require confirmation of the type of the gemstone as well as its value (including any faults, chips, inclusions). If you don't have this, we can arrange for a valuation.

Working with gemstones (especially the "softer" ones like Emeralds) comes with a risk. As such, we always want to inspect the gemstone for inclusions, chips, scratches and potential weaker areas before working with them.

How does payment work?

When we work on a Bespoke Commission, we put a lot of time and commitment in to create your dream piece.

To ensure we can offer this committed offering, we charge the following fees:

1. Consultation Fee: a fixed £20 fee for our Consultation Call / Meeting. During this meeting we agree on the Concept Design, we offer you insights into what is possible in terms of design and materials within your budget, and there is the opportunity to browse/see gemstones / final pieces etc. The Consultation Fee will be deducted from the total cost of the Bespoke Commission.

2. Design Fee: a fixed £50 Design fee for designing the Bespoke Commission and creating a professional hand rendering (we do not use CAD). The Design Fee will be deducted from the total cost of the Bespoke Commission.

3. Deposit Fee: upon your approval of the Design, we require a 50% deposit of the agreed cost of the Bespoke commission. This deposit is required so that we can secure materials and commence working on your Bespoke Commission.

For high-value commissions, this deposit structure is standard and allows materials to be allocated and workshop time to be dedicated exclusively to your piece.

As this is a Bespoke Commission created specifically for you, the 50% deposit (as well as the Consultation Fee and Design Fee) is non-refundable once materials have been secured and the work has commenced. Should you decide to not want to purchase the finished piece, we will not be able to refund you these 3 fees.

4. Final Payment: once we start making your Bespoke Commission, we will provide you with various images throughout the process. Once the Bespoke Commission is finished, we will share various photos/videos and allow for a video call / studio visit, so that you can be sure you're happy with the Bespoke Commission. Only when you are satisfied, the remaining balance is payable in full prior to collection or delivery.

Do you repurpose or make alterations to existing jewellery?

Yes. Please reach out to us with your request and some photos of the existing piece and we can take it from there.

Who will make my Bespoke Commission?

All Arianne Delaney Jewellery is designed and handmade by Arianne Delaney in her Somerset (UK) based studio.

Arianne will be carrying out the Consultation with you as well, which allows for a continuous and trusted collaboration between her and you as her client.
